Horse Boarding Specials
Spirit Horse Center offers the best boarding services in the Brainerd Lakes Area. And now for a limited time, you can get a free month of board if you purchase four months at the regular rate. That’s five months for the price of four! The special’s good for indoor and outdoor boarding. This offer is good through Dec. 31 and applies only to horses new to our facility.
We have also started the Boarding Referral Program, where we will reward those who bring us boarding customers. If a new boarding customer tells us that you referred them, we’ll discount your board bill to show our appreciation for helping Spirit Horse Center grow and succeed.

No school? Bring the kids to the barn!
Spirit Horse Center is offering programs for kids again this fall. There are three Little Spirits Day Camps on the calendar and one more Little Spirits Saturday Fall Sessions scheduled. Both programs are for kids ages 3-12 and include a mix of riding instruction, equine education, crafts and fun! The programs accommodate all levels of riding abilities. The Saturday session runs Oct. 31, Nov. 7 & 14. The Day Camps are during school breaks: Nov. 27, Dec. 9 & 29. Visit our Calendar for more information.
‘Honoring the Soul of the Horse’
Spirit Horse Center’s Staci Grattan and Toni Wasilensky recently returned from Colorado where they attended an in-service symposium celebrating the human connection with the soul of a horse. Presented by Joyce Leake’s Animal University, the symposium covered a wide range of subjects, including communicating with your horse, nutrition and health, body care, massage, and much more. Much of the subject matter could be applied to the Special Services that Spirit Horse Center offers, which are focused on correcting your horse’s behavioral and health issues with a more holistic approach to care and training. Congrats to Kelsey, Drue, Talina and Kate!
Riders from Spirit Horse Center recently competed at the Dressage Schooling Show Oct. 4 at Rocking R Farm in Foley. Kelsey Olson and Staci’s horse Star, Drue Fletcher on her horse Smokey, Talina Gonzalez on Comet, and Kate LaPage riding Julie Schulte’s Khatie Ann each rode two tests and received constructive feedback and scoring from a judge. All brought home ribbons to add to their collection. Congrats and great job ladies!
Winter’s coming, ride inside where it’s warm
Winter’s quickly approaching and for those who like to ride year round, it can be a little uncomfortable out in the elements. Don’t forget that Spirit Horse Center has a heated indoor riding arena that’s 160-by-70 feet, plenty big for individual and group lessons, or just to polish up your skills and get some time in the saddle.
