Programs for riders of all ages and skill levels
At Spirit Horse Center, our approach to programming is to combine riding instruction and equine education, and then add in a whole lot of fun. We want participants to refine their horsemanship and come away with a greater understanding of what makes horses tick and how to provide them with the greatest level of care. Currently, we have programs specifically geared toward kids and women of all riding abilities. If you own a horse, bring it. If you don't own a horse, we'll provide you with one. We encourage you to check with us often to learn about the programs we're offering.
Little Spirits
We offer ongoing programs for kids ages 3-12. Mostly, the programs are on Saturdays but we have Day Camps throughout the summer and during school breaks. These programs combine riding instruction, horse care and education, crafts and fun.
Similar Spirits Women & Horses
Our Similar Spirits program is intended to create a spiritual connection between women and horses.
Women receive riding instruction, listen to guest speakers,
learn about horses and equine care, and socialize with others. Contact us for more information.
Mounted Eagles Therapeutic Horsemanship for Persons with Disabilities
Spirit Horse Center is proud to host the Mounted Eagles Therapeutic Horsemanship for Persons with Disabilities. Mounted Eagles enhances the lives of program participants, volunteers and the community by providing a safe and enjoyable environment where individuals with special needs benefit from therapeutic, developmental and educational equine-assisted activities. Volunteers and Mentors
An important part of Spirit Horse Center's culture is its volunteer and mentoring programs. There's a lot of work that goes into maintaining and running a facility of this size, but it also offers those who have a passion for horses an opportunity to spend time around those who can share their knowledge of horses while helping operate a state-of-the-art facility. Volunteers can earn free riding lessons by working in the barn. Mentors are available to help teach others more about horses and their care. Contact us for more information.
